Our Story

Concerned about the waste that the pandemic has brought to some channels in the supply chain, we have created Re-Channel with the goal of redirecting unsold inventory from one channel to a channel that is low or out of stock in particular items.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Restaurants and Bars share their unsold inventory on the platform. They can scan the bar code and enter the quantity in the platform. Additionally, can submit a price for the buy back.

Wholesalers and Distributors have visibility to the unsold inventory that the restaurants and bars would like to sell, and offer a price to buy it back.

Restaurants and bars accept the offer, and Wholesalers and Distributors will schedule the pick up the product using carriers.

Visibility in the platform is provided to sellers and buyers using GS1 Standards such as GTIN, GLN and EPCIS.

At the end, Wholesalers and Distributors have visibility of other channels’ demand (retailers, bodegas, etc. ) and will be able to re-sell and re-distribute the unsold product making customers happy as they satisfy their need.

By using unsold inventory we are also contributing to eliminating waste in the supply chain.

— We were inspired by the GS1 Hackathon challenge to look for solutions for consumer product goods unbalance at times of crisis. —

Our Re-Channel platform uses GS1 Standards for GTIN, GLN and EPCIS in order to provide a collaborative and trustful

environment between several stakeholders in the supply chain.

In this way, quality of data is not a question and suppliers and buyers can focus on speed for decision making.
